SUSPENSION
rebuild services
Adhering to service intervals is imperative to ensure proper function of your suspension. Worn seals and bushings, fluid breakdown, and shim degradation can collectively compromise performance, as well as accelerate the wear of other internal components.
Kreft Moto takes a unique approach to suspension rebuilds. As a returning Kreft Moto customer, you are eligible for free valving changes and valving updates during the rebuild. *Excluding certain hard parts if required.
Details:
Free valving revisions (optional for existing Kreft customers only)
Inspection of all parts and components to ensure optimal performance
Labor - Highly skilled technicians oversee the entire rebuild process
Parts - We use only high-quality replacement and aftermarket parts
Fork Rebuild - $150 USD
Common Wear Items:
SKF Fork Seals - $80 USD
WP Fork Bushings - $60 USD

why are rebuilds so important?
Like every other part on our motorcycles, the manufacturer has a stated service interval for suspension. Skipping these intervals will lead to poor suspension performance, premature wear, and possible damage.
Shim Degradation: Shims are under constant abuse and over time eventually lose important characteristics they provide when new. This natural degradation has a significant impact on the overall damping and feel of your suspension. Your forks and shock have +100 shims combined, and Kreft Moto replaces all of these shims during rebuilds.
Fluid Breakdown: The breakdown of suspension fluid allows for any sliding element of your suspension to wear. When the mating sliding surfaces (seals, bushings, piston bands, etc) wear, small particles begin to mix with the fluid and cycle throughout the entire damper. This further accelerates fluid breakdown and premature wear of expensive parts (shock bodies, cartridge tubes, etc). For the rider, this not only means a change in suspension feel but also the potential for unexpected costs.
Seal Degradation:
Even if your seals are not leaking oil, they can wear to the point of allowing debris to pass the seal and contaminate the oil. For air forks, worn seals can lead to annoying issues and possible failures of the air-side fork cartridge.
